KLITSCHKO-SOSNOWSKI: THE PRESS CONFERENCE IN WARSAW

The press conference concerning the fight for the WBC Heavyweight Title between Vitali Klitschko (39-2, 37 KO) and Albert Sosnowski (45-2-1, 27 KO) took place at the Hilton hotel in Warsaw. The contest will be the main event of the boxing show scheduled on May 29 in Gelsenkirchen, Germany. The conference aroused wide interest among journalists who were very numerous at the hotel's hall.

During the whole conference, '71 born Klitschko was expressing his respect to the Polish opponent. - Although Valuev is taller and 40 kilograms heavier than me, he didn't want to face me. I fight against good boxers only, that's why I chose Sosnowski. All the critical words concerning the choice are devoided of sence. The criticism reminds me the situation before my bout against Lennox Lewis when everybody underestimated me. Personally, I think that our chances are equal - claims "Dr Ironfist".

Sosnowski, the EBU champion looked self-confident at the meeting with journalists. - According to experts, my chances are rather few but the plan I prepare with my coach, Fiodor Łapin and my determination will be the key elements to make Vitali surprised. Will it be sufficient? Time will show, I'm going to Germany to gain the victory – said the 31-year-old Pole. - I am a warrior so I'll take a risk. I will try to take advantage of all the skills I have. If I'll be sticking to our plan, I'll have a chance surprise the whole world.

The decision concerning the choice of Klitschko's rival was commented also by Bernd Boente, the manager of the Ukrainian. - There are several elements around the fight which are connected with Poland, for instance the stadium in Genselkirchen which is frequently visited by Polish fans. That's why we had been looking for the bout against a Pole. Tomasz Adamek refused saying that he needs to gain experience. Sosnowski accepted the challenge without thinking. I respect him for that – explained Boente.
