MASTERNAK-ARAMI AS THE MAIN EVENT OF THE SHOW IN KATOWICE

The upcoming Saturday promises very exciting for the boxing fans in Katowice, Poland. Several top Polish fighters, including Mateusz Masternak (17-0, 12 KO), Matt Zegan (40-5-1, 21 KO) and Wojciech Bartnik (23-4-1, 9 KO), will appear in the ring during "Diamond Boxing Night". The show promoted by Andrzej Grajewski will take place at a well-known "Spodek" hall.

Mateusz Masternak, a promising cruiserweight will try to remain unbeaten after a 12-round contest against a 25-year-old Tunisian – Faisal Ibnel Arami (11-1, 8 KO) and retain the interim WBC Youth World cruiserweight title. In the professional career, Arami was defeated only once by tough and respected Rachid El Hadak. However, a 22-year-old Pole realizes who is the favourite of the Saturday encounter and seems to be self-confident.

- I feel very well, I've been working hard with Andrzej Gmitruk and Piotr Wilczewski. As far as my rival, I saw his fights, he's physically strong. My advantage will come from my left jab and the foot work. If he'll be chasing me, I'll engage and the fans will get what they like – said Masternak.

Another significant event of the night will be a clash between experienced lightweight Matt Zegan and and Pierre Francois Bonicel (17-3-2, 7 KO) who represents France. Originally, the Pole had to come face-to-face against Artur Grigorian he lost to in 2003, in the fight for WBO belt. Ultimately, the plans of the revenge had fallen through because the 43-year-old Uzbek decided to finish his career.

- It's a pity that a fight against Artur will not take place, I've been waiting for it so long. My new opponent is definitely not as titled as Grigorian. On the other hand, he belongs to this kind of boxers who are often more dangerous than well-known ones. It's unknown what a particular fighter is able to do, how he will try to surprise a rival. Certainly, he's success-starved and has nothing to lose - explains Zegan.
