Maxa Schmelinga.

As you know Mariusz Wach failed the doping test after his fight against Wladimir Klitschko on November 10th in Hamburg, Germany. Failing the test in this case means that the 'A' sample was positive for steroids. If Mr. Wach accepts the results of the 'A' sample and explicitly relinquishes the opening of the 'B' sample the BDB will officially suspend him for one year (12 months) starting from the day of the contest (November 10th). In addition to that Mr. Wach accepts to pay a fine of 5,113.- Euro (formerly 10,000.- German Mark) which is the fine for doping delinquents at their first offense according to the BDB rules and regulations. The fine is payable directly to the BDB and will be donated to the Max Schmeling foundation which supports social (youth) projects in the spirit of German world heavyweight champion Max Schmeling.

Please let me know if Mr. Wach accepts the suspension and fine as outlined above.

Best Regards
Thomas Pütz
President BDB
