''Polish Floyd'' Maciej Sulecki (10-0, 2 KO), exciting middleweight prospect passed his hardest exam so far, convincingly beating via UD former WBA welterweight champion Yuri Nuzhnenko (31-3-1, 14 KO) on Saturday in Rzeszow. In the first two rounds ''Real Man'' was easily getting inside and hit Sulecki with decent hooks but he couldn't hurt younger and bigger Maciej, who established his jab in the third stanza and controlled the bout till the last bell. All three judges had it 59-55.
In the headliner of show in Rzeszow another Polish young buck, light heavyweight technician Dariusz Sek (16-0-1, 6 KO) comfortably deafeated experienced Vitali Rusal (27-4, 19 KO) via wide UD. After last bell judges had it 98-92 and 99-91 twice. Usually very patient Dariusz started fast thist time and hurt former EBU challenger with perfectly timed counter in the first round. Sek was close to knocking his opponent out in the third stanza after hitting him with precise right hook but Rusal survived and this pattern was repeated in the later rounds. Saturday's event was called ''Boxing's Forge - Comrades' Contest'' and featured bouts between Polish and Ukrainian fighters.
