WBC cruiserweight champion Krzysztof Wlodarczyk (46-2-1, 33 KO) spoke to Polish reporters, who mobbed him upon his Friday morning arrival at the airport in Warsaw. Wednesday's TKO victory over Danny Green (31-5, 27 KO) in Australia was one of the biggest achievements in Diablo's career.
- During the training camp I thought only about the win. I knew that winning away by decision will be very hard. Everything went according to plan, left hand landed right on the button. I didn't have any doubts but in the later rounds I spent too much time looking for the one big shot. My conditioning was perfect, I wasn't physically tired at the end of the fight - Wlodarczyk said.
- Green surprised me with his speed, his preparation was great and fight was harder than I expected. I could finish it in the second round but I let him off the hook and he hurt me in the fifth. After reprimand from my trainer I managed to execute Danny. Finally, I wanna say thank you to all the Polish fans who supported me in Australia. It was a great experience - he added.
