KOSTECKI DESTROYS MITCHELL

In the headliner of Saturday's Wojak Boxing night in Warsaw's Hilton Hotel Dawid ''Gypsy'' Kostecki (38-1, 25 KO) knocked out former super middleweight champion Byron ''Gator'' Mitchell (29-9-1, 22 KO) cold in the very beginning of the fourth round. Kostecki continues his steady march towards world championship shot. He's presently ranked #2 by the WBA and #4 by the WBC and by the IBF.

Popular ''Gypsy'' didn't waste his time, starting with throwing powerful right hands. In the last seconds of the first round he caught Mitchell with the left hook and knocked him down. In the next two stanzas Kostecki dominated Mitchell and never allowed him to land anything meaningful. American fighter was just a shadow of his old self, although you gotta give props to Kostecki for proving that his combos are increasingly fluid and accurate. Beginning of the fourth round was explosive. ''Gypsy'' seriously hurt Mitchell with looping right hook which was immediately followed by right cross. Good night ''Gator''.
