A veteran Polish fighter, Dariusz Snarski (31-30-2 6 KO), showed that even though he is no spring chicken anymore, he can still come into the ring very well-prepared. In Koln, he defeated Belarous' Yauheni Abdurazakau (4-3, 2 KO) over the course of eight rounds. The fight electrified the crowd as both boxers exhibited a high skill level. At stake was Snarski's BBU belt. The first two rounds were very even. The Belarusian, who is a natural light welterweight, used his physical advantage very well in the early going. Snarski just couldn't find the target.
The Bialystok resident, however, was effective at slowing the fight down, finding his balance and setting up his combinations. Soon, he was progressively hurting his opponents with successive punches. Finally, the referee, Wlodzimierz Kromka, scored the bout 77:75 in favor of Dariusz Snarski. Abdurazakau disagreed with the decision, but there's no way he was robbed. He fought valiantly, but also broke the rules by head butting and hitting after the bell.
