Two weeks after the convincing win of Mateusz Masternak over Faisal Ibnel Arrami, another unbeaten cruiser from Poland – Paweł Kołodziej (25-0, 14 KO) ground down his rival. The 25-year-old prospect finished experienced Mark Krence (24-7, 6 KO), a former BBBofC English heavyweight champion, in the third round. The contest for the vacant WBF cruiserweight belt was the main event of the boxing night in Strzelce Opolskie, Poland. The spectators of the show had also an opportunity to watch victories of  promising heavyweight – Andrzej Wawrzyk (18-0, 10 KO) and the IBF contender – Rafał Jackiewicz (36-8-1, 18 KO).

The opening two rounds' pace of the fight between Kołodziej and Krence was rather slow. However,  the Pole managed to hit the opponent powerfully several times. The nightmare of "The Butcher" began at the end of the third round. Kołodziej floored the Britisher with a thunderous straight right. Krence managed to stand up but the Pole pressed him back to ropes and knocked out ruthlessly. That was Kołodziej's second impressive fight in a row after finishing Rob Calloway (70-11-2, 57 KO) in December.

Undefeated Andrzej Wawrzyk won each of the eight rounds of the heavyweight encounter against Lee Swaby (25-24-2, 11 KO), a 33-year-old English journeyman. Wawrzyk was throwing series of puches while the Englishman was responding by single ones. After the bout, Wawrzyk admitted that he will be working as a sparring partner of Albert Sosnowski during his preparations for the WBC championship fight against Vitali Klitschko.

Rafał Jackiewicz made the final step to meet the IBF welterweight champion – Jan Zaveck. "The Braveheart" won a workmanlike eight round unanimous decision over Turguy Uzun (31-13-2, 19 KO). The Turk strived to avoid strong blows during the whole fight allowing Jackiewicz to decision him without serious effort.
