According to a German newspaper "Bild", Albert Sosnowski (45-2-1, 27 KO) will be the next opponent of the WBC heavyweight champion – Vitali Klitscho (39-2, 37 KO). The bout for the belt will take place on May 29 th in Schalke, Germany. Originally, Klitscho had to face a Russian giant -  Nikolay Valuev (50-2, 34 KO) but the teams of both fighters could not reach an agreement concerning financial issues.

Sosnowski, the EBU heavyweight champion confirms the information on his website. - I thank the Klitscho's team for the fight. I appreciate my rival's class and I respect him a lot – the 31-year-old Pole writes on the website. - However, it doesn't mean that I fear the opponent and don't notice my chances to win. Quite and contrary, I'll try to achieve something which Golota couldn't make.

Undoubtedly, the clash between Klitchko and Sosnowski will be the most prestigious fight in the Polish professional boxing since 1997 when Andrew Golota came face-to-face against Lennox Lewis. Sosnowski seems to be self-confident before the most exciting fight in his career. - I assure that nobody will be disappointed with my performance. There's a big challenge before me. Better three hours too soon than a minute too late, as Shakespeare used to say. I don't want to miss the most important contest in my career.
